Why did you become an Exercise Physiologist?
I actually wanted to become a Physio but didn't get the marks so proceeded to do Exercise Physiology with an aim to continue my career pathway towards Physiotherapy. I enjoyed EP so much I decided this is what I was destined to do....and never looked back. I have been an EP now for over 25 years and was one of the first EP to be accredited in NSW.
What do you love about being an Exercise Physiologist?
Having a history of injuries and multiple surgeries as a youth I can relate to my patients when prescribing them rehabilitation exercises to give them the best possible outcomes. I very much 'practise what I preach' so enjoy seeing my patients improve their health and return to what they love to do the most. I love to help anyone that wants to get back to whatever it is they love doing, whether that would be running, playing sports or just playing with the grandkids.
